This sculpture is located directly inside The Open Market space. The surface of the space will be relatively smooth and brick paved.

There are two entrances to The Open Market, one off Ditchling Road, and the other off London Road. Both can be found with a large ‘The Open Market’ sign over head. You will be able to travel from one end to the other.

By Bus – The nearest routes that stop by this sculpture will be the 20, 26, 46 and 79 at ‘The Open Market’ stop. Alternatively, you can get the 5, 5A, 5B, 52, 270, 271, 272 and 273 at the ‘London Road Shops’ and ‘Baker Street’ stops.

By Train – If you’re arriving via train, the nearest station will be Brighton. There is a step-free accessible route via Trafalgar Street:

• Turn left onto Whitecross Street and carry onto New England Street via the accessible crossing.
• Turn right onto Ann Street and turning left onto London Road.
• From here, travel down London Road, past Presuming Eds, and right onto Marshalls Row.

Trains: Local and national trains are available from Brighton station. All platforms and trains are accessible with ramps and extra support available at request. There are also accessible ticket barriers.

Bikes: The nearest Beryl Bay will be about 200 feet from The Open Market and is opposite T G Jones.

There are numerous Sheffield racks along London Road for you to lock up your personal bike.

Noise Levels- 4/10 – 7/10 at peak times.

The core trading hours of The Open Market is 9am-5pm, meaning that stalls will be up from these times. This changes to 10am-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that individual stalls may be open later or earlier. When stalls are trading, The Open Market can get quite busy. Please also be aware that as it is an indoor venue, it can get quite echoey if it is busy.

The nearest Blue Badge on street parking will be on Providence Place, a 230 metre distance from the sculpture, and around a 3-minute journey. Alternatively, you can use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force. You can also pay for free and for an unlimited time in Pay and Display bays.

The nearest public toilets will be at The Level. These include male, female, and disabled access toilets. These are a 250-metre distance and around a 3-minute journey from the sculpture.

The nearest fully equipped changing place will be at Brighton Station, an 850-metre distance from the sculpture and around a 13-minute journey.  To be found on the east end of the concourse, towards Pret a Manger. A RADAR key is required, or staff are available to help access this on request. Includes a changing bench, hoist system, peninsular toilet, height-adjustable sink and a privacy screen.
