This sculpture will be located a couple of yards to the East of the I360, on the lower promenade. You will find it next to the large spiral structure.

There is an accessible ramp leading down to the lower promenade to the East of the sculpture, which can be accessed via Kings Road, outside the Hilton hotel. There is also step-free access along the lower promenade, allowing you to travel along the seafront to the sculpture, from the East and West.

By Bus– The nearest routes that stop by this sculpture will be the 77 and City Sightseeing at the ‘West Pier’ stop. Alternatively, you can use the 1, 2, 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 21, 46, 49 and 700 at the ‘Waitrose’ stop, which is a short distance from the sculpture.

By Train – If you’re arriving via train, the nearest train station will be Brighton train station. There is a step-free, accessible route via Queen’s Road. Please note that there is a downwards hill towards the seafront. This is around a 21-minute journey across a 1.4km distance:

• Leave the station via the South exit, and head down Queen’s Road until you reach the seafront.
• From here you can use one of the accessible crossings to get to the upper promenade.
• Turning right, follow King’s Road until you reach the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, where you can use the ramp down to the lower promenade.

Bikes: The nearest Beryl Bay will be at the I360 itself, to the East of the I360 on the upper promenade.

There are numerous Sheffield racks for you to lock up your personal bike along the seafront.

Noise Levels – 7/10.

Brighton seafront, especially around the I360, can be a very busy place. Please be aware of nearby traffic noise from Kings Road, including sudden sirens and horns. If the weather is warm, it’ll be much busier.

There are numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants nearby.

The sculpture is situated on a smooth surface, and this is the same for the surrounding area on the lower promenade.

Regency Square Car Park. 200 metre distance, around a 5-minute journey.

• • There is a step-free access route via Regency Square.
    • You can use the accessible crossing at the lights opposite the I360.
    • From here you can turn left and find the ramp down to the promenade further on your left (past the Beryl Bay).
  • Blue Badge holders cannot park here for free.
  • 8 disabled bays nearby the exit ramp. There are no lifts available, but there are ramps.
  • From £5.50 for one hour, up to £34.50 for 24 hours.

Brighton Centre Russell Road Car Park. 390 metre distance, around a 6-minute journey.

    • There is an accessible crossing outside of The Salt Room, which will bring you directly opposite the ramp down to the sculpture on the lower promenade.

The nearest Blue Badge on-street parking bay will be at the bottom of Regency Square, directly opposite the I360. Alternatively, you can use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force.

The nearest public toilets will be directly to the West of the I360. These are female, male, and disabled access facilities. These are generally open from 9am-8pm.

The nearest changing place facility will be in Shelter Hall. This is a 450-metre distance, and around a 6-minute journey. It is open from 9am until 6pm and includes a height adjustable wall mounted bench with an alarm, privacy screen, shower, colostomy shelf, ceiling hoist and loop hoist, and a height adjustable wash basin.

This BookBench has a white background with numerous large stick of rocks dotted around the whole sculpture. Each stick of rock has its own unique colours, with watercolour-like splashes surrounding them, making it a very vibrant bench. Each sweet has the name of an area in Brighton and Hove written around the white centre, such as ‘Hove Rock’ and ‘Moulsecoomb Rock’.
