Location: Patcham Library
A group of dedicated students at Patcham High designed and decorated this bench. They wanted to tell the story of Patcham and make visual links to the natural and historical surroundings. As you follow the branches of the Klimt inspired tree you can find key aspects of what makes Patcham special, from the South Downs to local landmarks such as the Chattri. They wanted the tree to represents the personal growth of our students. On the back we wanted to celebrate our iconic Brighton Beach, complete with a Patcham High murmuration in the sky!

Accessibility
Accessing the sculpture
The sculpture will be situated in Patcham Library. The entrance to Patcham Library is on Ladies Mile Road.
The street has narrow pavements and expect cars around due to the nearby school. There are accessible crossings and drop kerbs by the entrance. There is a long ramp to enter.
Public transport
Buses: The nearest available route is the 52 from Ladies Mile Road Shops.
Trains: Local trains are available from Preston Park station. This station has partial step-free access.
Bikes: The nearest Beryl Bay to the sculpture will be on Ladies Mile Road.
There are no cycle racks nearby.

Patcham Library is generally a quiet library.
At school start and end times it may be busy in the vicinity.
Parking
Directly outside Patcham Library.
The nearest Blue Badge parking bay is outside the library entrance. Alternatively, you can use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force.
Facilities
The nearest public toilets will be within Patcham Library.
The nearest changing place will be at Preston Park. This is a 3km distance and a long journey. We recommend using local bus services to access this Changing place toilet.
