Accessibility
Accessing the sculpture
The sculpture can be found in Kindly’s shop on York Place. You can access this via Traflagar Street and then turning left, or via York Place itself. Please note that Trafalgar Street is hilly and the dropped kerbs are in poor condition.
Public transport
Buses: The nearest available routes are the 3x, 5, 5A, 5B, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 29A, 29B, 37, 37B, 46, 48, 49, 52, 78, 79, 270, 271, 272 from the St Peters Church stops.
Trains: Local and national trains are available from Brighton station. All platforms and trains are accessible with ramps and extra support available at request. There are also accessible ticket barriers. If you’re arriving from the station, the sculpture is a short distance down Traflagar Street
- Exit the station via the Terminus Road exit
- Take a sharp left on the first road on your left to enter traflagar street
- Proceed on the downwards slope, to the end of Trafalgar Street
- Turn left at the end of the road
Bikes: The nearest Beryl Bay is Richmond Place.
The nearest place to lock up your own bike will be on the Sheffield stands on York Place.
What to expect from the location
Noise Levels – 4/10
York Place leads to London Road which is a central area, although less busy than other parts of the City Centre. The store itself is quiet, although they play music which can be loud. Noise from nearby traffic, including sirens and horns, may also be quite loud in this area.
Parking
London Road Car Park. 300 metres away, around a 5-minute journey.

There is a disabled parking bay on York Place nearby. You can also use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force. You can also park for free and for an unlimited time in Pay and Display bays.
Facilities
The nearest public toilets will be in Brighton Station. These are male, female, and disabled toilets.
A changing place is also available on the east end of the concourse, towards Pret a Manger. A RADAR key is required, or staff are available to help access this on request. This includes a height-adjustable changing bench, a ceiling hoist, a height-adjustable washbasin, and non-slip flooring.
