The sculpture can be found within Hove Museum, just off New Church Road. There is a dropped kerb directly in front of the gated entrance, but please note that this is a rough surface and may cause some difficulty for a wheelchair user. Instead, gaining access via the pavement that is next to the museum will allow you to not cross in this way.

There is also another entrance just off Pembroke Gardens.

Local and national trains are available from Hove station. All platforms and trains are accessible with ramps and extra support available at request. There are also accessible ticket barriers.

The nearest Beryl Bay will be on the road directly next to the Museum, on Pembroke Gardens.

There are Sheffield racks on Sackfield Road for you to lock up your personal bike.

Noise Levels – 3/10.

Hove Museum and the lawns in front of it will be a quieter location. As it is away from the main city and further in a suburban area, there shouldn’t be any large crowds or excessively loud noises. Please note that as the museum is still on a main road, there may be sudden sirens and horns. There is a concrete surface leading up to the museum and the sculpture; however, the rest will be grass, making it more difficult for wheelchair users to access the lawns. Be mindful of the occasional rough surface outside of the museum.

  • There is a step-free accessible route via Church Road:
    • Turn right out of Miles Walk (the carpark) onto Church Road, which you can follow all the way down until you reach the museum on your right.
  • Blue Badge holders get two hours free parking if they register their vehicles at the desk.
  • 30-minutes free parking, or up to two hours if you spend £5 in store.
• King Alfred Car Park. 750 metre distance, around a 10-minute journey.
  • There is a step-free accessible route via Hove Street:
    • Leaving the car park via Hove Street, use the accessible crossing to carry on up Hove Street.
    • Please note that there is a slight hill up this street. Turn left onto New Church Street. The museum and sculpture will be in front of you further to the left.
  • Free parking for Blue Badge holders.

The nearest Blue Badge on-street parking bay will be on-site. This is free of charge. Alternatively, you can use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force.

The nearest public toilets will be in Hove Museum itself. These are male, female, and disabled access. These will be open when the museum is open, so from 10am until 5pm.

The nearest changing place will be St Ann’s Well Gardens. The new facility, complete with hoist, adjustable changing bench, height adjustable sink and extra space, is designed for people who are unable to use a standard accessible toilet and need the assistance of carers. Accessible with a RADAR key, the toilet will be open between 10am to 6pm during the summer, and from 10am to 4pm during the winter.

There is a step-free accessible route to the changing place via Church Road, and Holland Road, where you can turn right onto Somerhill Avenue and the park. Please note that this is a longer trip and may be too long for people. This is a 2.2km distance and around a 32-minute journey.
