The sculpture is located at the entrance to Hove Park just off Old Shoreham Road. The path leading to the sculpture is concrete and you will not need to cross any grassy surfaces to reach it. You will also be able to reach it by cutting across Hove Park itself, where there are pedestrian paths across the entirety of it.

By Bus- The nearest routes that stop at this sculpture will be the 47 and 52 at the ‘Hove Park South’ stop. Alternatively, you can use the 2B, 5, 5A, 5B, 47,  and 2 at the ‘Hove Park Tavern’ stop, which is a short distance from the sculpture.

By Train – If you’re arriving via train, the nearest train station will be Hove. There is a step-free accessible route via Goldstone Villas. This is a 1km distance and around a 10-minute journey:

• Leave by the South exit, where you can head down Goldstone Villas.
• Turn right onto Clarendon Road and another right onto Goldstone Street.
• Following this road up, you can turn left onto Old Shoreham Road and find the entrance to the sculpture.
• There is an accessible crossing available to cross over to the park.

Bikes: The nearest Beryl Bay will be directly next to the sculpture at Hove Park entrance.

Noise Levels – 3/10.

Hove Park is a relatively peaceful and quiet place, however, if there is a scheduled, large-scale event on, this may be otherwise. Please plan ahead if this is a concern for you. As the sculpture is also located nearby a main road, please be aware of traffic noise, including sudden sirens and horns.

Hove Station Car Park APCOA. 1km distance, around an 11-minute journey.

Goldstone retail park. 300 metre distance, around a 4-minute journey.

There is also on-street parking on Park View Road (to the West of the entrance), and Goldstone Crescent (to the East). Alternatively, you can use a Blue Badge on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours as long as no loading restrictions are in force.

The nearest public toilets will be in Hove Park itself, near the Hove Park Café. These are male, female, and disabled access facilities. These are open from 10am until 6pm.

The nearest changing place facility will be Preston Park. These are open 10am-6pm in the summer months and 10am-4pm in the winter months. The changing place requires a RADAR key for access and includes an adult sized wall mounted bench which is height adjustable, ceiling hoist and loop hoist, peninsular toilet, height adjustable washbasin, emergency alarm, privacy screen, accessible shower, colostomy shelf.

This BookBench is a streaking blend of soft colours to portray a stunning landscape. The front of the bench has deeper purples at the top that blends into subtle pinks and teals towards the bottom with streaks of white woven throughout. The bottom of the bench is made of dark greens and splotches of colour to portray flowers. At the back of the bench is a seascape in the same style. The sea appears very dark in the corners with a path of light through the centre. The clouds above the sky mirror the same light pattern.
