Understanding neurodiversity – primary age

What will I learn about?

We look at some of the key areas that impact neurodivergent children and their families. Topics include anxiety, emotions, distressed behaviour, sensory differences, double empathy, rejection sensitivity and executive function. We will also spend a little time on strategies that may help family life.

Area of focus

Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities/developmental delay, tics and Tourette’s, FASD, social communication differences, sensory processing, specific learning differences, DCD/dyspraxia.

Need a diagnosis?

No – could be at any stage from looking into a referral, waiting for assessments or diagnosed.

Open to anyone?

This is for parent carers of primary age or younger children. Must live in Brighton & Hove or East Sussex or be registered with a GP in these areas.

How to book

You will need to be registered with our ND Family Support service to access this training.
