The Story Trail

The Story Trail

Amaze, your local charity supporting families with disabled children, has partnered with Wild in Art to bring you The Story Trail—a free, fun and family-friendly adventure.

Between 12 September and 8 November 2026, you can explore a city-wide gallery of more than 30 BookBenches. Each one is an open book, designed by a talented local artist and waiting to be discovered.

The story continues with a heartwarming collection of smaller BookBenches, lovingly decorated by local schools and community groups, adding their own chapters to our city’s tale.

Wander through our vibrant city, pause, and take a seat. Immerse yourself in a world of  stories our community has to tell. Our BookBenches are more than just beautiful art; they are a place for us all to belong.

#SitWithUs in Autumn 2026 for a journey of discovery and joy with The Story Trail.

For young people with learning disabilities aged 16 to 25 in Brighton & Hove

The Power Group is a free “speaking up group” for young people who have learning disabilities or are autistic, run by our Amazing Futures youth project and Speak Out.

You can talk about anything that’s going on with you. It’s a safe place to ask questions about things it might be difficult to talk about with other people. No one will judge you and it’s all completely confidential.

Sometimes people join us to talk about things the group is interested in, too.

We’re a small, friendly group that meets once a month.

Want to come along?

If you’re interested in joining the group, please get in touch to see if there are any spaces available. You can also contact us if you have any questions.

You must be registered with Amazing Futures to attend:
