The Story Trail

Amaze, your local charity supporting families with disabled children, has partnered with Wild in Art to bring you The Story Trail—a free, fun and family-friendly adventure.

Between 12 September and 8 November 2026, you can explore a city-wide gallery of more than 30 BookBenches. Each one is an open book, designed by a talented local artist and waiting to be discovered.

The story continues with a heartwarming collection of smaller BookBenches, lovingly decorated by local schools and community groups, adding their own chapters to our city’s tale.

Wander through our vibrant city, pause, and take a seat. Immerse yourself in a world of  stories our community has to tell. Our BookBenches are more than just beautiful art; they are a place for us all to belong.

#SitWithUs in Autumn 2026 for a journey of discovery and joy with The Story Trail.

Story Trail Selfie Challenge

Story Trail Selfie Challenge

Local businesses and organisations wanted! Join us for The Story Trail selfie challenge this September.

If you’re inspired by The Story Trail and want to take part, here is your chance. We’re looking for teams to compete in our selfie challenge – with a prize for the winner!

What is it?

In teams of 6, you’ll have 90 minutes to take the most selfies you can with our BookBench sculptures.

Prizes for the winning team and food will then take place at the end at The Caxton Arms.

How do I sign up?

Activity group for young people in Brighton

Youth club – Brighton

For young people with SEND aged 14 to 25 in Brighton & Hove.

Join our fun, friendly youth club for disabled or neurodivergent young people. We have art supplies and games always available, and sometimes do different activities together. It’s also a great place to chat and make new friends.

This group meets every Thursday in the Conference Room at Community Base.

Dads Group – Brighton & Hove

Dads Group – Brighton & Hove

This informal and sociable support group helps dads come to terms with the wide range of emotions that come with having a child with SEND. We come together to support one another while relaxing in a friendly pub atmosphere, knowing that others are in a similar situation.

7.30 to 9.30pm, last Thursday of every month at Stoneham Pub 153 Portland Road, Hove, BN3 5QJ.
