Drusillas’ Park hosts fun day for Amaze families
Drusillas’ recently invited some of the families from our befriending service to visit the park for a fun day.
The visit took place as part of our 2023 Charity of the Year partnership with Drusillas’. Families were offered free tickets to attend and had a chance to meet all the animals across the park. They also saw the park decked out in festive cheer.
Amaze also hosted an information stall at the park, highlighting the services we offer to families across Sussex.
Charity of the Year partnership
Drusillas’ named Amaze as their Charity of the Year for 2023 and have kindly been supporting us with events and fundraising throughout 2023.
This includes a recent raffle where one lucky winner was able to win an experience with the newly born Capybara’s, Marmalade, Tango and Squash. The raffle raised an incredible £3,795 for Amaze with over 300 people entering.
Thank you from Amaze
Marie Baker, Face to Face Project Manager at Amaze said:
“A huge thank you to Drusillas’ for welcoming us for a brilliant day. The families who attended had such a lovely day.
“Many of the parents who came are volunteer befrienders, as well as being parent carers themselves. Through volunteering, they are also supporting other parent carers who are just starting out their journey in the world of SEND. It was really lovely to thank some of our befrienders, and see them having fun with their children and young people.”
