Amaze officially launches our young people’s website at Youth Voice Day

On Sat 21 September young people from our Amazing Futures groups came together at our Eastbourne site to share their views at our Youth Voice Day.
We discussed safeguarding and our young people’s participation strategy, and officially unveiled our brand new young people’s website, now live at amazingfuturessussex.org.uk. The site was kindly funded by East Sussex School Health and Children’s Integrated Therapies Services and the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
During the session, our Comms and Editorial Assistant, Rose, shared some of the website’s most important content and features, including the ability to switch pages to Easy Read, find upcoming youth groups, toggle to dark mode, find accessibility information for group venues, or learn about topics like mental health, employment, and housing. She also ran activities to support the young people to create content for the site.
Rose, who led on developing the site, said: “It was brilliant getting to share the outcome of all the work we’ve done together to make a really accessible, fun, and useful website, that’s truly theirs – they’ve been involved every step of the way. I was also thrilled with their enthusiasm to create art and blogs for publication on the site. We really want our young people to have ownership and be fully involved in the site’s growth.”
We’ll continue to develop the site, adding content and responding to feedback as we go. And we’ll be running Youth Voice Days every quarter.
