Governance at Amaze
The role of our Trustees
The role of Amaze’s Board of Trustees is to provide strategic direction, ensuring that the organisation’s strategy delivers on our charitable aims and objectives. Our Trustees oversee the goals we set and ensure we’re making progress towards them. They also ensure we function within the legal, charitable and financial requirements set by statutory and regulatory authorities and that key organisational policies are in place and implemented. This helps ensure Amaze is financially secure, well-run and delivers on all its responsibilities to families, partners, funders, staff and volunteers.
Trustees meet regularly to review our performance and risks, discuss opportunities, and support the Senior Leadership Team at Amaze to implement our plans.
Our Board has 10 members who all bring lived experience as either parent carers of children and young people with SEND or who are disabled themselves. Between them they have a wide range of experience in strategic management, SEND, education, health, care and other areas.

We publish our Strategic Plan and an annual Impact Report about our impact and activities on our website each year. We also publish our Audited Accounts .
