What will your money pay for?
£5 pays for a Compass Card for one child – giving them discounts and offers on loads of leisure activities across Sussex to boost their health and wellbeing and confidence.
£12 pays for one parent to get advice and emotional support from a Helpline advisor
£20 pays for pizza for one of our young people’s peer support groups, where disabled young people try out new activities, make friends and get advice about adult life from people their own age.
£50 pays for one of our case workers to support a parent at a tricky school meeting.
£70 pays for a parent carer coffee morning, helping isolated parents of kids with additional needs to meet other parents in their local community, share advice and get support with specific issues.
£200 pays for around 9 hours support for a vulnerable family to complete the 41-page application form for Disability Living Allowance. This includes a home visit, writing up the notes, collating evidence from specialists and checking the paperwork.
£1,000 pays for our Face 2 Face befrienders to travel to parent carers homes and give them emotional support when they’re child has just been diagnosed
£2,750 pays for a six-week ‘Insiders Guide’ training course for up to 12 parent carers.
£11,000 pays for us to produce and distribute 18,000 copies of our ‘Out of Amaze’ newsletter every year.
