What?

The Capitol has a 420 seat theatre, two cinema screens, a studio theatre, meeting room and gallery. It offers a programme of music, theatre and dance as well as the latest films. There are regular Autism-friendly film screenings and special educational needs performances for some theatre shows.
Compass Card Offer: Compass Card holders are eligible for the concessionary rate on theatre tickets that include this price option (see the website or seasonal brochure for details). There may also be special offers on selected shows (often at short notice).
General ticket bookings: The Capitol runs an Assisted Access Scheme which allows members to buy a seat for an essential companion free of charge for most events. Joining is free and Compass Card holders are encouraged to apply. Contact the Box Office on 01403 750220 for an application form.
Accessibility: Two accessible parking spaces at The Capitol and additional spaces at North Street car park a short distance away. Accessible building and toilets. Theatres and cinemas have infra-red transmission systems for the hard of hearing and headsets can be borrowed free of charge from the Box Office. There are allocated wheelchair seats in the theatre and cinemas which must be pre-booked by calling the Box Office. Call the Box Office to discuss any special requirements when booking.
