What?
King Alfred Leisure Centre, owned by Brighton & Hove City Council and operated by Freedom Leisure, is the largest wet and dry sport centre in the city and is situated on Hove’s sea front.
Compass Card offer: ‘Junior Health & Fitness’ – after £10 induction, supervised sessions for 12-15s using cardio-vascular equipment in the gym (3.30-5.30pm weekdays, 11am-2pm Saturday) are free. Gym – after £10 induction, gym use is free. Swimming – Compass Card holder, one carer and up to three others go free. If older card holders prefer to go without their carer, they and one friend go free. For swimming offer, Compass Card holders can use their cards once a day. You’re subject to the usual pool rules and under 8s must be accompanied in the water at all times by a responsible adult.
Accessibility: Accessible building and toilets. King Alfred has a Radar key accessible toilet. You’re advised to call for more information.
How?
You need to ‘phone the number above to book all classes, gym and swim sessions. Mention the Compass Card when you book to obtain the offer. Junior Health & Fitness and Gym – book and pay for induction in advance – either in person or over the ‘phone – and make it clear the booking’s for a Compass Card holder. There’s a form to fill out beforehand; it covers things like health and safety and a parent carer needs to sign it if the card holder is under 16. Afterwards, just show the card at the pay desk when you visit.
Swimming – leave the Compass Card with staff at the pay desk as you go in and collect it on the way out.
