What?

High Sports is a state-of-the-art climbing centre based at Withdean Sports Complex, Brighton, offering bouldering as well as top-roping, auto-belay and lead style climbing at a 13m high climbing wall. Climbing is for everyone, and High Sports strives to make climbing accessible and comfortable for all so all can share in the experience and joy of this amazing sport. High Sports can offer climbing for those with special educational needs and disabilities, actively encouraging diversity and inclusion. They run a range of courses and activities for all ages and abilities including introduction sessions, socials, courses, events and competitions as well as independent climbing, and are a primary centre for the NICAS training scheme.
Compass Card offer: Compass Card holders get a 10% discount on all High Sports instructed sessions. If you’re an ‘Independent Experienced Climber’, card holders get free one off registration (usually £5) and student/concessionary rates (15 to 20% lower than usual member rates).
Accessibility: The leisure centre building is easily accessible with automatic doors, onsite accessible parking and local bus stop. Within the centre the climbing wall and accessible toilets are available via a lift and doors to High Sports open automatically via a button at seated height. High Sports can provide systems for Para climbing and climbing for wheelchair users with full and partial hoists.
