Santa bus raises over £3000 for Amaze

Santa Bus 2024

Santa Bus 2024 raised an outstanding £36,579 for local charities.

In the lead up to Christmas Santa Claus travelled all the way from the North Pole and hopped on board the Brighton & Hove Buses ‘Santa Bus’ to spread festive joy and cheer to everyone across the city.

This year the Santa Bus travelled 20 routes, over 20 nights in Brighton & Hove. Festive volunteers joined Santa and his team of elves to collect donations. Thousands of people lined the streets and walked alongside the Santa Bus with Santa waving from the top deck.

Through nightly bucket collections, local business collection points, and an online Go Fund Me page the bus collected donations. In addition, Brighton & Hove Buses also contributed £5,835 by donating on behalf of every colleague that took part in a company survey.

This year Amaze were delighted to be one of the 12 Santa Bus charities. That included: Martlets, Chestnut Tree House, Brighton and Hove Museums, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, Amaze, Clock Tower Sanctuary, Fareshare Sussex & Surrey, Together Co, Possability People, East Sussex WRAS Wildlife Rescue, MindOut and Brighton Women’s Centre.

The 12 charities receive an equal share of the donations. This means Amaze received just over £3,000.

We are incredibly grateful to Brighton & Hove Buses and all the brilliant volunteers who donated to the Santa Bus 2024.
