Fundraising update

money

This summer we’ve been lucky with an amazing selection of fundraising activities taking place for Amaze. Our staff member, Boo, swam around the pier, raising over £500, Balfour Beatty took part as a team in the London to Brighton bike ride, raising over £7,000 for us, and actor Will Ellis completed the first of his two swimming challenges by swimming around Jersey, with the channel still to come in 2024. Will’s current fundraising total is at an incredible £13,500 and growing! We are so thankful to these superstars for all their hard work.

But you really don’t have to be a super swimmer or strong cyclist to raise money for us, as regular Amaze poster kids, siblings Audrey and Rex showed, raising £20 holding a bake sale on their road this summer.

As well as fundraising support, we are also grateful to Knights PLC staff who have volunteered their time helping with data entry and at our family fun day.

Our most recent fundraising event was 5 October’s the Big Cheer at Komedia. Find out more about this annual comedy night and how much we raised, here.

Get involved

There are lots of different ways to support Amaze. You can set up a birthday fundraiser via Facebook, thank you to everyone who has chosen to do this recently – we are always touched to be chosen and all funds raised go directly to our services.

You can also raise funds for Amaze when you shop online at over 7,000 retailers, including eBay, Sainsbury’s, Amazon, ASOS and M&S when you sign up to Easyfundraising. It won’t cost you any extra, as the donation is covered by the retailer.

And in case you missed it – our lottery launched this year and remains open for players, sign up for a chance of winning a £25,000 jackpot whilst helping us fund our vital work supporting families in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.

And finally, for those runners who want  that extra challenge – we have places in the Brighton Half Marathon and Brighton Marathon for 2024, so please get in touch if that appeals!
