become a trustee

Amaze has a management committee of volunteer trustees who take overall responsibility for the direction and management of the charity.

We are always keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in becoming a trustee. The majority of our trustees are parents of children with special needs. If you are a parent who would like to help Amaze continue to be a parent led organisation, please think about becoming a trustee.

We also welcome trustees who can bring other life or professional experience to the management committee. For example, trustees with experience of financial management or human resources can be invaluable to a charity like Amaze.

Potential trustees are invited to come along as observers to management committee meetings to get a better idea of what would be involved before committing themselves. For more information about being a trustee call the helpline or email info@amazesussex.org.uk

Being a parent or carer of a child with special needs brings many challenges and rewards. Whether or not you are a parent, being a trustee of a highly valued and respected organisation such as Amaze is a privilege which enriches the lives of all those involved. The role carries a number of set responsibilities, but also provides the freedom to contribute as and when best fits with your own busy life.
