Amazing Futures Careers
Amazing Futures Careers is our ‘steps into work’ and future planning service for young people aged 14 to 25 with additional needs in Brighton & Hove.
The Amazing Futures Careers service is currently very busy. If you would like to enquire about support, please email [email protected]. Please be aware that at this time it may take us longer than usual to respond to enquiries. Thank you for your patience.

How we work
We aim to increase young people’s confidence in themselves and their futures. We do this by exploring options for the future, preparing for the world of work and equipping them with specialist knowledge about working when you have additional needs.
We support young people through one-to-one sessions, either online or in person depending on preference, and sometimes via our Amazing Futures groups. We also run occasional workshops.
We work with young people in whatever phase they’re at: if they’re looking for work, still in education, or not ready to look for work yet but still wanting to find out more.
What we offer
- Sessions on work-related skills with an additional needs specific approach, for example CV writing, application and interview help or prep
- Looking at future options for work and study: making an action plan to take steps towards future goals
- Learning about what support, adjustments and protections people with additional needs are entitled to at work, educating them about legal rights (e.g. Equality Act 2010) and helping young people to explore what they specifically need to feel supported at work
- Building awareness of the value of lived experience, acceptance of our needs and gaining confidence in our skill set and futures
Who can get support?
To get one-to-one support from Amazing Futures Careers Support, you must:
- be aged 14-25
- live in Brighton & Hove (we are based in Brighton)
- have additional needs, for example autism, learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, or physical disabilities
The service is no longer fully funded to provide one to one support in East Sussex. Young people with additional needs (aged 14-25) in East Sussex can contact us to get detailed guidance on where to look for support. We can also give some one to one careers support to young people who are already attending our Amazing Futures groups.
How to get support
Young people aged 14-25 or their parent carers can contact our Amazing Futures Careers Worker to ask for support.
