Whitehawk coffee morning for parent parers – “Supporting siblings” workshop
Event info:

Come along to our next Whitehawk parent carer coffee morning, open to all parent carers of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
There will be time for a cuppa and chat with other parent carers of children with additional needs, as well as a workshop about supporting the siblings of children and young people with additional needs.
9.30 – 10.00 “How are you doing?” – time for a cuppa and chat with other parent carers
10.00 – 11.20 Workshop – “Supporting siblings”
No matter how hard we try to include siblings, they can be impacted by the needs of their siblings who are disabled or have additional needs. A support worker from the Young Carers Project at the Carers Centre will tell us about what’s on offer, share common experiences of sibling carers and some tips and advice on how to meet their needs.
