Event info:

What is SEN Support in School or College?
FREE Zoom workshop about special educational needs (SEN) support for your child in school or college

This zoom is aimed at parents who are worried about the progress their child is making at school and where your child or young person doesn’t have an EHC plan.

If your child/young person has an EHC plan in place, please book our Annual Review workshop.

By the end of the session you will understand:

  • What school support is and the graduated approach to support
  • What you can do if you are worried about your child’s progress
  • What schools should be doing to support your child.
  • What happens if the school have supported your child and they are still not making progress?
  • What you can do next?

How to book

The workshop is free, but you need to book through Eventbrite.

You can contact sendiass@amazesussex.org.uk or 01273 772289 if you would like to find out more.

We will let you know how to join the session using Zoom in an email the day before the workshop.

Please note: These workshops are specifically tailored to parents from Brighton, Hove and East Sussex and as such are not available to parents out of the area.

West Sussex parents are served by the West Sussex SENDIAS Service and Reaching Families who offer similar events and impartial advice tailored to the area.

If you are from another area, you will find similar support services locally to you by searching SENDIAS and your area.
