Making decisions – understanding powers of attorney, mental capacity and more [Zoom]
If you are the parent or carer of a child or young person who may not be able to make decisions about their welfare and finances now or in the future, you will need to consider the best ways to protect them as they move to adulthood.
Philip Warford, lawyer and specialist in planning for the future of disabled and vulnerable people, will talk through who can make decisions on behalf of another person, the key principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Powers of Attorney and how the Court of Protection might help.
This is a free, friendly, informal event for parents delivered by Phil Warford of Renaissance Legal, an expert on this subject who will make it easy to understand and help you start to think what you should do for the best.
The session will happen over Zoom from 10am – 11am.
