Being Autistic – a free Amaze talk by Simon Smith

Event info:

THIS TALK IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. IF YOU WISH TO GO ON THE WAITING LIST, PLEASE EMAIL THE ADDRESS BELOW.
We are hosting a free talk by a young autistic man, Simon Smith, about what having autism is like for him.
“My name is Simon Smith and I have autism and with the help of my mum Kim, I do a talk called “Being Autistic” – which is about my personal experiences of what it is like having autism and how it affects my everyday life. My talk covers a lot of areas including sensory issues, how my brain works, social communication and interaction and obsessions.”
He and his mum also offer some advice and strategies to help support people with autism, and there will be a Q&A at the end of the session.
The session is open to young people aged 14-25, and to parent carers.
