Amaze supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families in East Sussex.
We are based in Eastbourne but we offer services both online and in person across East Sussex including Lewes, Hastings, Bexhill and Seaford.
SENDIASS advice line
Amaze SENDIASS is the Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service for East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. If you are a child or young person with a special educational need or a disability (SEND), or the parent of a child or young person with SEND, you can call the Amaze SENDIASS advice line for information and advice. The advice line is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm. Email email@example.com or call 01273 772289.
Amazing Futures peer support groups
Our Amazing Futures peer support activity groups offer a chance to have fun and make friends. You can also talk to our peer supporters about what’s going on with you. The groups have a selection of games and activities, as well as trained peer support volunteers aged 18-25 for you to talk to. Our East Sussex Amazing Futures groups are based at the YMCA Youth Advice Centre in Eastbourne. Face 2 Face befriending
Our Face 2 Face peer support befriending service offers families in East Sussex support around the time of diagnosis or new challenges. Parents and carers are matched with a befriender who is also the parent or carer of a child with additional needs. NDP Family Training and Navigation Service
Amaze’s NDP service supports East Sussex families at each stage along the neurodevelopmental pathway to manage the challenges that children and young people face. The conditions covered by the NDP Service in East Sussex include Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Tics/Tourette Syndrome, foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), learning disabilities/developmental delay, social communication concerns and sensory processing disorder.

Help with claiming DLA or PIP
Amaze can offer expert advice and sometimes practical support with making claims for Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment for a child or young person up to 25. You can call our advice line, get fact sheets and other written resources, and we run regular online workshops to help you understand how to make a successful claim. Amaze runs regular workshops and courses for parent carers and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Sussex both in person and online. Supporting the East Sussex Parent Carer Forum (ESPCF)
Amaze supports the East Sussex Parent Carer Forum, helping to ensure the voice of parent carers is heard by the people who plan services for children and young people with SEND. ESPCF are based at the Amaze office in Eastbourne.
