Sussex Freemasons visit Amaze to celebrate £30k donation to our Disability Living Allowance project

We were delighted to be visited recently by representatives from Sussex Freemasons to celebrate their generous donation of £30,000 towards our Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Project.

The funding will help Amaze provide a team of trained volunteers to support the most disadvantaged families in Brighton and Hove to complete disability benefit forms.  As part of the project, we will also deliver regular workshops and develop new digital resources, which we will be piloting with a group of families in East Sussex.

As well as resolving a family’s immediate financial hardship, the DLA Project also signposts disabled young people and parents to other sources of support and advice, for example local support groups or training courses, helping to further improve the wellbeing and social inclusion of the family.

The grant from Sussex Freemasons comes through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is funded by Freemasons, their families and friends, from across England and Wales.
