New East Sussex parent carer groups to launch in new year

Face 2 Face is pleased to announce that we have some extra funding to start two new parent groups in East Sussex. Face 2 Face is Amaze’s peer support project for parent carers in Sussex.

One group will take place in Hastings and one in Eastbourne. They will be hosted by Face 2 Face and will take place once a month in each town.

The groups will be open to all parent carers, as a place where we can meet up in person and enjoy a coffee and chat. More details to follow in the new year.

Current Face 2 Face support in East Sussex

Face 2 Face currently offers support to parent carers in East Sussex through our three WhatsApp groups:

  • Kids Squad – a group for parents of primary age children with a diagnosis of ASC or awaiting diagnosis
  • Escape – a group for parents of secondary age children with a diagnosis of ASC or awaiting diagnosis
  • Brunch Club – a group for parents of any age child with any SEND

East Sussex dads and male carers of children with SEND may be interested in the Face 2 Face Dads Group; originally a Brighton & Hove group, we opened our doors to East Sussex dads too when meetings moved to Zoom. The group is back to meeting in person at the Stoneham pub in Hove once a month instead of on Zoom, but East Sussex dads are still very welcome.
