Give us your views on new standards for Information, Advice and Support Services
Amaze is the Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) for Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. This means we are funded by these two local authorities to provide impartial advice and support to parent carers of children and young people with SEND and to young people themselves up to 25.
The Council for Disabled Children (CDC) has proposed new standards to be used nationally by SENDIAS services. Once agreed, these will be endorsed by the Department for Education and local authorities will have to pay attention to them when they fund SENDIAS Services.
Amaze SENDIASS would like to know your views on these standards as we want to ensure that our service meets your needs.
- Please read the proposed IAS Minimum Standards
- Then, please answer the questions on this short Amaze survey
We need to get your response by 9pm on Monday 27th August.
Amaze will collate the responses and send them to the CDC in time for them to be considered along with feedback from around the country. We will also take account of what you say when thinking about what Amaze SENDIASS should offer.
