Easter update: opening hours and helpful resources

Amaze services will be closed over the Easter weekend (Friday 10th April to Monday 13th April). If you’re starting to get cabin fever and could do with some resources to help you through, we’ve got you covered:

  • Leisure, Learning and Lockdown – Our Compass team has been busy creating and regularly updating their guides for families, young people, and parent carers, to help you find things to do during the lockdown. We’d also love you to send us photos of your child’s artwork for our Compass Wall of Fame. We know you’ve run out of room on the fridge already, but we’ve got loads of space and we’d love to see their creations!
  • Looking after your family’s wellbeing and mental health – It’s hard for everyone right now, but disabled children and young people and their families face some extra challenges. We’ve compiled some resources to help you look after yourself and your family, including Easy Read guides and social stories about Covid 19.
  • Coronavirus FAQs for parents of children and young people with additional needs: Brighton & Hove | East Sussex – We know confusion and uncertainty in this changing situation can be extremely stressful, so we’ve been working hard to continuously update our detailed FAQs for families in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.

We know this is a tough time for all Amaze families and we have been working on how to reshape our services to be as useful as possible in this period. We should have more information about that for you next week, so watch this space.

Despite the challenges and unusual circumstances, we hope you have a great bank holiday weekend, even if you have to get a little creative!
