Coffee meetings for parents of children with ASC in Brighton and Hove

Brighton and Hove Inclusion Support Service is running several coffee meetings for parents of children with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) in February, March and April. ‘Sibling Support’, on Thursday 9 February 10 to 11.30am, focuses on sharing ways to support siblings of children with ASC; ‘Puberty’, on Wednesday 15 March 10 to 11.30am, focuses on how to navigate through puberty with strategies, visual supports and guidance; ‘Just Right’, on Tuesday 21 March 10 to 11.30am, focuses on the ‘Just Right’ system developed to help children communicate more effectively by using colour zones; and ‘Transition to Secondary School’ (open to parents of children in years five and six), on Wednesday 26 April 10.30am to 12pm, focuses on how the Inclusion Support Service can help and support you and your child through the transition process. All meetings will be held in the BHISS Group Room, BHISS, Brighton and Hove Music and Arts Building, County Oak Avenue Brighton BN1 8DJ or the BHISS Training Room, Youth Service Wing, Carden Avenue, Brighton BN1 8LU. Although both rooms are within the grounds of Carden school, you are asked not to use the school entrance. You can request a map to the rooms when you book. Numbers are limited.
