Amaze seeks Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) Manager

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to lead a service that makes a difference to the lives of families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Sussex?

Amaze is an award-winning local charity that gives information, advice and support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. We are looking for a skilled and motivated person to manage a team of advisers and lead our busy and highly valued SENDIASS service which includes an advice line, web-based information and a workshop programme.

You will have a good understanding of the issues for families that include a child with special educational needs or disabilities. A grasp of the law around SEND, experience of advice work and managing people are essential to take on this challenging but interesting role.

 SENDIASS Manager role details:

  • Contract: 28 hours per week, fixed-term contract until August 2022 (with the possibility of extension)
  • Rate: Hourly rate £16.25- £17.51, equivalent to NJC salary pt 27-30, £29,575- £31,868 pro-rata
  • Location: Brighton & Hove and East Sussex, based in Amaze’s office in central Brighton
