Amaze seeks Information, Advice and Guidance Co-ordinator

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to co-ordinate and deliver a service that makes a significant difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Sussex?

Amaze is an award-winning local charity that provides a range of information, advice and support to children and young people with SEND and their families. We are looking for a skilled and motivated person to join our Amazing Futures service for young people and to lead and develop our careers service.

You will have lived experience or an excellent understanding of the barriers faced by young people with SEND when seeking employment, and you will have an enabling approach to help them overcome these. You will have strong interpersonal skills, be tactful, patient and empathetic with the ability to build trust with young people and establish effective relationships with a range of professionals. Ideally you will have a QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development or relevant professional qualification, and experience of providing employment, education and training related, information, advice and guidance (IAG).

IAG Co-ordinator role details

  • Contract: 28-35 hours per week, fixed-term contract until October 2022 (with the possibility of extension)
  • Rate: Hourly rate £15.33-£16.71, equivalent to NJC salary pt 25-28 – £27,901-£30,412 pro rata depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid working – with a mix from home and our offices in Brighton & Hove or Eastbourne
